     Growth is an inseparable element in the life of a human being. Everyone wishes to grow in every sphere of their life.  Certainly, physical and psychological growth  becomes the center of one's life and spiritual life is ignored.    What about spiritual growth? St. Augustine would say " My soul is restless until it reaches unto You" .  Only the one who has a divine spark within will feel the restlessness of the soul. In reality, all have received it.   If the soul is at rest, no growth happens.   As a tree normally growing towards the sun, the human soul is also growing towards its divine origin. Is my soul at rest or growing?  The perfect growth of the soul is seen in the establishment of the Kingdom of God in one's life. The enlargement of material kingdom brings worldly pleasures and worldly allurements.  But  the  Kingdom of God  brings  inner  joy and happiness irrespective of  ...

     One day, a priest went to visit Mother Teresa for the first time in his life. A group of sisters accompanied him and introduced him to her as a good priest from a certain locality. Mother Teresa nodded and said, “He is not a good priest, but a holy priest.” In our daily instruction to children, we often emphasize the importance of being good, but we rarely speak about being holy. In the Book of Book of Leviticus (11:44), it is written: “Be holy, for I am holy.” A person’s goodness is often evaluated on the basis of outward actions, but holiness belongs to the inner conscience. It is, in many ways, a matter between God and the individual. To be holy means to have the courage to be different. Even in the midst of uncertainty and dilemmas, if one can stand firm without being shaken, then one has grown in holiness. If our ultimate aim is to be united with the Holy of Holies—the Almighty God—then being good is not enough; we must strive to be holy.

  The human person is gifted with both a physical heart and a metaphysical heart. We are often concerned about the physical heart and its well-being, but the metaphysical heart is frequently neglected. True human formation depends largely on the integrity of this metaphysical heart. When the metaphysical heart is whole and integrated, it leads a person toward holiness of heart. Holiness means to “dare to be different.” In every age, there are expectations that shape how one is supposed to live. Yet, when a person chooses to listen to the divine voice within and reorders their life accordingly, their world may appear the same outwardly, but it is perceived through a transformed perspective. In such a person, the metaphysical heart becomes sacred. The fruit of this transformation is serenity, peace, and jo y.
